Engagements on the Internet--the news portals, blogs, political communities--prove too often more riveting than art.
Would that I were paid for working for peace.
Instead, between boundless curiosity and a little moral entrepreneurship, the hours drift away in typed reflections, and never two days pass without atrocious behavior or provocative language spinning through the ether and begging my comment.
Nonetheless, I got a short break this afternoon from punditry and scholarship: another snowstorm--another hour out with a camera in the cold air.
I had hoped Oppenheim Arts & Letters would provide a showcase for various efforts, including photography, but also creative writing and journalism. That's still the idea, but what a challenge. # # #
